Since the club's creation in 1998, thousands of filmmakers have benefited from IndieClub.com. The organization offers many opportunities to meet, network, and collaborate with other filmmakers, actors, and crew. Eric Colley, the President of IndieClub.com, is a director, producer, writer, and actor from Washington State. He created IndieClub.com because he saw a need for a major film organization geared at connecting people in the industry as well as encouraging film organizations to work together. Nine years later, hundreds of partnerships, and over 30,000 members, it is clear that he was right.

Using his college background in marketing and his hands-on experience with computer programming, Eric built the IndieClub.com website, which lead to the formation of the first local group in Seattle. Within a few months, there were a handful of other new groups springing up around the United States, and eventually around the world. Most of these groups still exist, though many are under new local leadership. IndieClub.com partners with many filmmaking organizations as well as one-time events and film festivals in order to offer our members additional benefits and help promote the entire independent filmmaking community. The club continues to gain international exposure and grow in numbers. The goal of IndieClub always has been and still is to network filmmakers, actors, and crew.

Eric Colley, President & Hallie Shepherd, Business Manager

Eric Colley teamed up with Hallie Shepherd, an actor/writer/producer, after they met at an IndieClub meeting in 2002. Several of their short films have received awards and festival play, including "Cherry Sorbet," a Seattle International Film Festival winner, and "Mistaken," a 25-minute 16mm short film that premiered at the Cannes Short Film Market.

Eric and Hallie’s feature-length suspense/thriller GPS, had a cast and crew comprised of IndieClub.com members. In accord with the movie, Eric and Hallie created a treasure hunt game GPStheGame.com, launching 400 treasure hunts around the United States and several abroad.
