Ol'Mom decides it's time Slobbies gets an education, so she enrolls him in school.

But Slobbies has a tough time because he's speciesically challenged, and getting him accepted into school is a mission on its own.

When he's finally in class and ready to learn, the teacher seems to have an agenda against him.

Will Slobbies ever get equal rights to an education?

Is that school based on one you attended in real life Marius?

Which part made you think that?

Just the way you're a rebel and I could see you organizing a coup. Not that is a bad thing.

Aww, thanks!  I guess :)

Well I never organized any coups at schools I attended, although I was a rebel who just got worse in my high school days.

But mine was more of a passive resistance to power structures I didn't feel like giving power over me.

For example, one time I didn't want to go to school but of course my parents had me dropped off at school.  So I stood literally one foot outside the gate and never went in.

Finally two prefects came to get me but I told them in no uncertain terms that their jurisdiction ends inside the school borders, and they can do nothing to me outside the school grounds.  Even one foot outside.  Drove them crazy.

They tried pulling me in but soon the whole thing just became a game, to me anyways, and the more they pulled and tugged the farther I moved outside the gate.  They finally gave up with one of them amused but the other one fuming mad and threatening to go get the principal, and me just taking my bag and leaving altogether (I did sneak into the school grounds unseen some time later just so I could say I did attend school).

Well that was just one of many more times I landed up in the principal's office.  The conversations we had was surreal.  He seemed tenderly amused by the way I could just get wilder and wilder and more unruly and rebelious all the time whilst doing it in a civilized manner which drove others around me crazy, like the one of those prefects for example who just lost it and went berserk.

The principal and I talked a lot about vision and duty.  And as a principal he had the duty to ramble off all kinds of threats to me.  I asked him to think up more ideas because if those were all he had, he would need more plans as those weren't going to change much.  He would just combine the previous plans of action into new arrangements and I'd be like ok so you got nothing.  And he'd be like I got the aforementioned and I'd be like ok then.

Anyway after a while we'd both be tired of trying to be clever and we'd end the meeting.  Until the next time.

And he would tell my father and my father would be like "so your principal says you don't necessarily agree with statements" and I'd be like "yeah" and he'd be like "ok then."

Ah yes, loved those times, even if I don't necessarily want them over.  *sniff*... How life passes by so quickly.

Did you enjoy school, Aldridge?  Lovely times eh?  Yeah.  For years I thougth I wouldn't mind having another year of high school just for the fun of it.  But nope, 'sall over forever.  *sniff*.  How we don't know what we have until it's gone forever.

I never went to any of my high school reunions but I would have liked to. It would have been interesting to see if the hot girls were still hot or if the tuff guys got fat. I am still in touch with one 2 friends from high school. One of them wanted to be an artist and now he is one. The other wanted to be a film maker. The closest he got was losing a lot of money investing in someone else's failed project then going on to do corporate videos for a short while. Funny thing is that from all indications, at 53 years old he is still a virgin. The rest of the people are just a blur in my memory now.

Reunion eh?  Pff, what for?  It's not the same as school.

I did have a good laugh once at my brother going to his reunion once though.  He was one of the guys you're talking about who got humongously fat.

Then when he came to say he's going now, he was wearing a filthy white creased up T-shirt that said "Save the whale" on it with a picture of a wale.  No novelty shirt;  he really got that from a wale saving initiative place.

So we kept pleading that he wears a button shirt like a normal human being, but that made him just more determined to look young and cool and therefore must wear a t-shirt.  Only old people wear button shirts.  And it just had to be that "Save the whale" t-shirt.

I don't know if he saw the humongous joke in it but nevermind;  he just went there looking like a whale wearing a t-shirt "Save the whale" and refused to say much about how it went afterwards.  Except he hated everyone who turned out richer than him.

In conclusion:  SAVE THE WHALE.  Don't hunt the poor things or you might kill my brother by mistake.

Hey!!  Stop laughing at my brother.  Only I may do that :)

Was pretty funny because I neglected to mention he was far too fat for that T-shirt.  His stomache protruded to push out that whale on the front so that it literally looked like a 3D image of a whale.  When he walked the whale would swim from side to side.  True genius animation.  James would love it.

Ah yes, the days of the past.  Funny thing that is.

 Marius...."Did you enjoy school, Aldridge?"

I hated school and nearly dropped out. I wanted to work and save money for a business. Not get caught up in a bunch of silly drama. Oh wait. I just described Indieclub.

But I stayed in and even got enough credits stockpiled so that in senior year, the only class I had was auto shop 3 which was an early bird course...get to school at 7 and leave at 9. That was my senior year! One class! And no homework!

You're a mechanic are you?  Cool beans. How much you must save on car repairs every year!
