Often when I watch a movie I get sleepy. I have invented a Sleep-O-Meter to find out why.
For example -- Boogeyman 2
Most American horror movies are really made in Canada because they have never forgiven us for the War of 1812. But they all must have certain elements. The star is a hot college-age women. They all have to have at least one boob shot. This has nothing to do with the plot. They have to have a scene with the heroine in the shower in her towel.
The formula of these movies is to press the buttons of teenage and college-age males, combining sex and death.
The inner purpose of such movies is, or should be, to show that the victims died because of a fatal weakness in their character.
I started to doze off because the boob and shower scenes were really not part of the action. When the Sleep-O-Meter senses that buttons are being pushed for no reason, it goes into action.
