Hello all, so I keep getting questions from fellow filmmakers and students on how I managed to work on major blockbuster movies and TV shows (e.g. The Walking Dead, Guardians of the Galaxy), got to attend the Emmys and got into the Hollywood film industry. There have been way too many coffee meetings.

To avoid coffee meetings, I have just released my course featuring my experiences, tips and insights on how I got into the Hollywood film industry:

If you are tired of working on student projects and keep wondering how to play with the big boys in Hollywood. Give this course a shot! And if you're not satisfied, there's always a refund. So - are you ready to take that first step?

Let me know what you think, and I'd be happy to help you out over at Udemy. You can also find all my credentials by looking me up on IMDb (www.imdb.com/name/nm5130924/).

Cheers~

This looks informative, for a fair price.  I watched your promo video (music level is a bit high) and you have a lot of positive energy.  Good luck with this.  WALKING DEAD is my favorite show; congrats!

That's the kind of hints that open doors to the major studios! Kudos!

Well, if you guys are willing, I am open to extending a beta-test coupon right now for the first 10 students!
I'd like to get you guys' opinions on what additional information you all are seeking for so I can customize the program - you know, whilst I am still playing around with the major studios. XD

We just need a real, brave, committed soul to sign up (if you're really serious)! :D

Here is the coupon: www.udemy.com/how-to-get-a-job-in-hollywood/

Sure, I can take a look tomorrow (unless 10 other folks outrun me and use the coupons!)
I'll let you know what I think. I'm away from Hollywood, having done all my films outside the mainstream circuit so I might be a good 'external' candidate.  :-)

Great! You won't be disappointed. :) And if you are, let me know and we'll definitely add some "spice" to make it worth your day. e.g. Any specifics you need or more information on, in terms of getting that first foot in the door, we'll do our best to include that content after your feedback.

Much thanks!

Good work!
As Mike pointed out, the music is a bit too present on the free pitch video, so it can be misleading for the paid content. You might want to fix that because that's what sells the rest of the courses.

The courses themselves are pretty cool. It's clear, we understand the point. The cartoons and animations are entertaining too. Not all professional looking but self explainatory and that's what matters in this kind of video. And the enthusiastic tone you have is contagious!  :-) Good work Vicki!

Awesome! Thanks for the feedback - I'll fix the music today, for the promo video.

Apart from that, I've been getting lots of interests and soft commits but once again, we want your business/ sign-ups! XD
We would like to know what is stopping you from continuing with the sign-up process - is there a way we could make it easier for you to convert your interest into a sign-up?

What is holding you back?

I guess if the visitor is interested in the whole training for his filmmaking career, he will go thru the whole process including payment, no problem. Your course is well done, now the goal will be to reach the right audience, maybe film students looking to go beyond what they got from school.

Personally, I'm not looking to go 'Hollywood', my little indie projects are fine for my humble ambitions! :D

 Haha, nicely said.
Well, the door is always open, should you ever decide to try something new.
I definitely appreciated your feedback and enjoyed chatting with you - you're one to remember!  :D

Thanks again, and spread the word!

That could be something you may want to offer too, some basic advice for aspiring filmmakers aiming to make films independent, outside the Hollywood circuit. You may have an audience there too. I remember when I start preps for my first feature film in 2004, I've been looking everywhere for some advice. A basic road map to make my first feature come true!
